Preparations for this year’s programmes are now starting to gather speed and the organisers are putting together a really fun and exciting programme, involving entertainers, swimming and plenty of activities to both develop and stimulate the children.

We are now accepting applications for places for the 2026 Programme. We will offer 2 one week programmes with Week 1 starting on 27 Jul - 31 Jul 26 and Week 2 from 3 Aug - 7 Aug 26.  The parental contribution will remin at £390 per child per week with the rest of the cost being met by the Playaway charity.   Please complete the form below to apply for a place. 

The Piers Harrington Foundation have agreed to consider applications from parents who maybe struggling to help support some of the cost of the parental contribution. Please apply by e mail to lindsharrington@hotmail.com . Equally for those parents who live in Buckinghamshire we would encourage that they look to register with Action 4 Children who are delivering a variety of programmes and financial support on behalf of Bucks Council. Playaway (inc Stayaway) is a registered provider and an application to us through Action 4 Children will cost you less.

We are keen to finalise numbers and commit to staffing levels as soon as possible and therefore would kindly request that you complete an application no later than 30 Apr 2026.  We will acknowledge your application.  We must ensure we have sufficient staff and therefore we may have to wait to confirm your place.  If you do apply for 2 weeks we will probably offer you one of your weeks first and then if staffing is available offer the second week later. We will then respond to confirm your place and will then ask for you to provide a deposit of £150 to secure that place.  We will treat all applications on a first come first serve basis should applications exceed available spaces.   We will try to finalise all places by 31 May 26.

We struggled last year to staff all the places required and ask if you know of anyone who would wish to work during Playaway such as a carer to make contact with us using the Staff tab in the Menu Bar above.
